Me in a nutshell

Dedicated to Wellbeing

Let's get right into it.

I started my journey towards Yoga at University in 2005 and then though Pole fitness, which I started in 2007, I deepened my practice which led in 2011 to the Aerial Arts and Aerial Yoga in particular.

Between 2010 and 2013 I taught Pole and Aerial Fitness/Yoga in St Andrews Scotland while continuously training. I hold Beginners to Advanced Pole and Aerial Fitness qualifications under K.T. Coates, one of the founding members and president of the International Pole Sports Federation (IPSF), and gained my Aerial Yoga qualifications through Aerial Yoga UK with Devi Kaur who teaches around the world and was one of the first to bring Aerial Yoga to the UK.

Although I have spent a lot of time off the ground, I have moved more and more into the Yoga sphere as I hold strongly to the spiritual teachings of its philosophy.

Originally I started taking yoga classes back at University to help me gain better focus and stability, which also benefited my other endeavours. I now hold qualifications both in Hatha (2012) and Ashtanga Yoga (2016), which I gained through intensive study in India. My time in India has deepened my understanding and love of yoga as a holistic practice and living philosophy. I am currently classified as 200 hour E-RYT & 500 hour RYT with Yoga Alliance.

In 2013 I moved to India to teach at Rishikesh Yog Peeth (RYP) as an assistant teacher on the 200 hour TTCs. I had studied at RYP in 2012 and enjoyed my time teaching there just as much as I enjoyed learning from them. Not that the learning ever stops really!

In 2015 I started to teach in Da Nang, Vietnam. There I had my own little studio while being employed with Fusion Suites Da Nang Beach Hotel teaching Hotel guests and locals/local expats alike. I was lucky to be able to design and schedule my classes to my heart's content and was therefore able to offer a broad variety of yoga to introduce different styles and also to offer non asana based classes to the clientele. In addition to Hatha, Aerial and Ashtanga based classes I offered yoga nidra, guided visualisation, mantra chant and movement meditation. Most popular however were my Aerial yoga classes, I was the first to teach aerial in Vietnam and hence they were a novelty, but my regulars certainly fell in love with the Hatha, mantra chant and Ashtanga for beginners classes I offered.

My most recent training took me to Goa (2016) where I studied at Abhinam Yoga school under Yog Namito (also known as Yog Rakesh Ranjan) who has been a log-term student of Swami Satyandanda, BKS Iyengar and Osho. His Ashtanga teachings were more alignment based using props which fits my style of teaching best.

Between 2016 and the end of 2017 I have been working in HK at Flex Studio developing aerial arts,  yoga and fitness classes for both adults and teens, teaching regular group classes in Hatha and Vinyasa style as well as private Hatha yoga classes.

2018 I spend teaching aerial arts classes as well as perform in Nicaragua as well as traveling this part of the world, which led me to settle in Xela, Guatemala in 2019 where I reconnected with the performing arts performing at the Theatro Municipal de Xela as well as The Teatrito. I also taught regular yoga classes in La casa de Yoga.
